Lagrima by Miguel Lugtu & Ian Anderson
Lagrima is a neighborhood restaurant tucked away in an unassuming space in Legazpi Village. It opened its doors on 2016 with the simple intent of bringing a small bite of Los Angeles back to Manila. Tacos are the name of the game for frequent customers and Lagrima-virgins alike. If you’re having trouble making up your mind, trust that there’s likely a regular beside you to give you their own two cents on what the perfect order would be.
Miguel Lugtu is a graphic designer and art director who is currently figuring out if advertising is his thing. He is based in Shanghai but 2020 got him stuck in Manila and working from home for McCann Worldgroup Shanghai indefinitely.
Ian Anderson is a self-taught artist. He worked as an animation and video game design teacher at Exceptional Minds Studio in Los Angeles for five years. His signature micro-art style is reminiscent of the works of Keith Haring. With maze-like patterns he carefully draws by hand, and has had work exhibited in Tokyo.
